Categories

(Roles: Super Admin, IT Manager)

OVERVIEW

Categories and Sub-Categories are used to organize content in the Catalog.
Once added, these Categories can be applied to items in the Catalog to help organize them for easier browsing.

Examples are:

  • Item Type categories for each of the Spec Types
    • ‘Seating’
    • ‘Lighting’
  • Types of Spaces
    • Executive Office
    • Classroom

Categories/Subcategories

Create a Category

  • Step 1: In the Left Navigation click on ‘Admin’.
  • Step 2: Go to 'Catalog' and click on ‘Categories’.
  • Step 3: Click on ‘Create New Category’.
  • Step 4: In the row below, in the first cell, enter the 'Category Name', and hit enter on your keyboard.
  • Step 5: Click on ‘Save’.

Delete a Category

  • Step 1: In the Left Navigation click on ‘Admin’
  • Step 2: Go to 'Catalog' and click on ‘Categories’.
  • Step 3: Click on the 'Trash Bin' icon to the right.
  • Step 4: Click on ‘Yes’.

*Categories CANNOT be deleted if Subcategories are assigned to them.
